Where It All Began
The Beginning Of A Huge Impact
His mission was to reassure those affected by the torpedoing of the ship that they would be safely transported back to the US and to gather first-hand information as to the actual circumstances of the attack. His speech at the Beresford Hotel in Glasgow, being his first official public address, was as important for him as it was for the City – and the very beginning of the huge impact he would make on our world.

This significant historic event is not properly preserved, commemorated, or celebrated. We at Beresford Lounge want to rectify this and are giving you the chance to play a key part in our efforts to pay a fitting tribute
What We Are Doing
- We will name our private dining suite in honour of JFK
- We will erect and donate a statue to the City of Glasgow to commemorate the event
- We will publicise, promote, and celebrate the historic event
